WELCOME TO TEAM CONSULTANTS Team Consultants Limited (TCL) design, manufacture, supply and erect quality timber frame buildings such as houses, apartments, community buildings, offices schools, hospitals and housing complexes, including four and five storey medium rise developments. TCL can efficiently and professionally handle all aspects of building supply from the original conceptual design, planning submissions, building regulations approval right through the manufacturing cycle to final delivery and erection. Operating from their 2000 square metre factory at Jurby on the Isle of Man, TCL have capacity to produce multiple house kits per week whilst maintaining high flexibility in production processing to enable even the most challenging project delivery requirements to be met. State-of-the-art technologies are employed throughout in TCL activities. Architectural and manufacturing drawings are created using modem computer aided design (CAD) systems; structural components are cut using a computer controlled sawing centre capable of handling items up to 219mm x 44mm in cross section and up to 5.2m long, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and uniformity.

All materials used are of the highest quality and are subject to stringent inspection standards prior to use and throughout the production process. Structural timbers are CLS factory finished, C16 or C24 graded and preservative treated prior to receipt. Typically 140mm x 38mm studs are used for external walls and 89mm x 38mm studs for internal walls, nominally at 400mm centres for increased strength and stability. Panels are faced in oriented strand board (OSB) sheathing and covered in type 1 breather membrane to BS4016. Indicator tapes are also factory applied to locate studs for fast, safe and reliable fixing of external wall ties after erection. TCL are members of the Timber Research and Trade Association (TRADA) in the UK, giving access to the latest information, techniques and product developments applicable to timber frame construction technology. This in conjunction with more than 50 years combined experience in timber framed building, enables TCL to provide an unprecedented level of service to the construction industry in the Isle of Man, UK, Europe and beyond. |
